AP Specialist

MCC Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AP Specialist to join our team. As an AP Specialist, you will be responsible for administering the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other departments.

• Process and verify accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and route check runs and other financial documents for approval.
• Manage and resolve disputes related to accounts payable, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Process employee expense reports and company credit card accounts, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounts payable, providing excellent customer service and support.
• Assist with preparation of 1099 reporting and other financial documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform special projects and tasks as assigned by management, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Five (5) years minimum experience in accounts payable accounting, with a strong understanding of financial procedures and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in Sage Intacct and PlateIQ a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, with specialized coursework in general office practices and data processing.
