About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our legal team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of legal matters, including litigation, legal research, legal writing, and providing legal advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive legal advice and guidance on various legal issues, including business law, construction law, and design law.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to advise on legal rights, obligations, and implications on various matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure the organization's full legal rights.
  • Handle legal disputes and litigations, including negotiation with external parties.
  • Manage compliance, regulatory, and governance matters.
  • Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its affiliates.
  • Perform pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights.
  • Review advertising and marketing materials to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive legal strategies to secure payments, handle negligence claims, and deal with defective construction and design claims.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in iManage and OneDrive.
  • Strong experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory and regulatory issues, corporate governance issues, and current laws.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong experience in litigation and providing legal counsel.
  • Ability to provide legal advice and assistance in a clear, concise, and comprehensive manner.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle complex legal issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
