Role Summary:

The Director of Cardiovascular Services is responsible for organizing, directing, and overseeing the operations of the Cardiovascular Service line, which includes the Cath Lab, Endoscopy, Vascular, and Cardiac Rehabilitation. This role ensures adherence to policies and procedures, maintains safe staffing levels, manages supply and equipment availability, and optimizes patient throughput. The Director will also develop, implement, and oversee the departmental budget, engage in continuous quality and performance improvement initiatives, promote lifelong learning for staff, and ensure compliance with annual competency requirements. Professional growth and development in nursing leadership and licensure are essential components of this role.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Licensure: Registered Nurse in North Carolina (or compact state) required.

Certifications: BLS required within 30 days of hire; ACLS required within 90 days of hire.

Experience: 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a Cardiac Cath lab setting; 5+ years of training, education, and/or experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab RN.
