">Job Description
">We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Representative to maintain, develop, and grow sales within the assigned territory consistent with our overall goals and objectives.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Identify opportunities for sales expansion and recommend specific action plans to accomplish.
- Demonstrate products/services and assist in selecting the most applicable solutions for customers' needs.
- Communicate pricing, terms, delivery dates, and other essential details on orders.
- Respond promptly to customer concerns, technical issues, and other requests within the territory.
- Cultivate relationships with key personnel at accounts.
- Submit sales plans, goals, and objectives for the territory to the National Sales Manager.
- Plan and organize territory management to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement action plans, technical seminars, and coordinate support personnel as needed.
- Report on current or changes in account status/usage and competitive activity.
- Monitor industry/market area activity, new applications, requirements, and trends.
- Attend trade shows and conferences.
- Submit weekly expense accounts, itineraries, and sales summaries.
Requirements
">- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related technical field (Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) preferred.
- Knowledge of the foundry industry, metal casting process, markets, and business environment required.
- 1-3 years' experience in sales and marketing of technical products.
- Proven prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills with a track record of delivering results.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- A self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Office 365; SAP and CRM knowledge a plus.
- Valid driver's license and passing a driving record background check required.
- Ability to perform the job's essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment
">This role will involve a combination of working from home and visiting industrial facilities, customers, or suppliers.
">While performing the duties, the incumbent may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Safety apparel and equipment must be worn as required.
">Physical Requirements
">- Ability to drive, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Fieldwork may require working in extreme weather conditions and handling equipment.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds as needed for field work.
Travel
">Up to 80% travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
