Position Overview

The role of the Portfolio Manager involves providing essential support to Portfolio Managers in managing various portfolios of commercial real estate loans.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct thorough research and financial evaluations of commercial real estate assets, loans, and portfolios. Assist in compiling data for lender assessments and prepare presentations of analyses for investment strategies.

2. Support Portfolio Managers by executing tasks related to monitoring the performance of designated commercial real estate loan portfolios.

3. Deliver general customer service to clients and associated contacts.

4. Generate various monthly and quarterly reports for the portfolios.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty effectively. The qualifications outlined below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

- A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

- Strong comprehension and interpretation skills for instructions, brief correspondence, and memos, along with the ability to ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.

- Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence, and capable of responding to common inquiries or complaints from clients and colleagues.

- Ability to effectively present information to internal departments and larger groups.

- Basic understanding of financial terminology and principles, with the ability to perform simple calculations such as percentages.

- Competence in understanding and executing general instructions, problem-solving, and possessing fundamental analytical skills.

- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Decisions should be made with a general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve desired outcomes and timelines. Errors in judgment may have short-term impacts on colleagues and supervisors.
