Position Summary:
The Assistant Vice President of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Portfolio Management is responsible for overseeing existing commercial loan relationships, particularly in non-real estate sectors. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing a multifaceted commercial loan portfolio, implementing portfolio management strategies, and adhering to commercial credit policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the assigned deal team, including originators, underwriters, and portfolio analysts, by providing a risk management perspective to commercial loan relationships.
  • Continuously manage and assess a commercial portfolio, identifying and addressing early warning signs proactively.
  • Propose modifications in loan structures or management strategies to mitigate negative trends.
  • Ensure compliance with loan products, including monitoring financial covenants and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of financial and collateral trends, as well as liquidity.
  • Advise on appropriate actions to address risk management and credit concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial institution.
  • At least 3 years in a transactional role with a strong emphasis on commercial credit underwriting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in syndicated lending and portfolio management.
