Mechanical Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at the Rocky Mount Engine Plant. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and improving mechanical systems and equipment to support engine production.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of mechanical components, including drives, pumps, and motors.
- Use welding techniques to repair and fabricate parts, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Inspect, repair, and replace chains and rollers to ensure smooth operation across mechanical systems.
- Execute preventative maintenance and identify potential system failures before they impact production.
- Dismantle and reassemble mechanical systems, troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve mechanical issues impacting production efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement projects and conduct root cause analysis to reduce equipment failures.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for repairs or improvements.
- Proficiency in welding and ability to perform fabrications and repairs as needed.
- Hands-on experience working with chains and rollers, including inspection and replacement.
- Strong background in rebuilding and replacing drives, pumps, and motors in an industrial setting.
- Demonstrated initiative and drive, with a proactive approach to mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Willingness to learn and engage in hands-on mechanical tasks, with a passion for continuous improvement.
- College degree or technical equivalent in a mechanical, engineering, or related discipline is required.
- 5-7 years of mechanical maintenance or technician experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
