We are seeking a skilled Electrician - Level III to specialize in Manufacturing at our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount, NC.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Equipment Availability:
    • Troubleshoot, assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems to keep equipment operational and efficient.
    • Adhere to HSE standards and protocols to create a safer work environment by reporting hazards and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Enhance Quality:
    • Apply high standards of workmanship to support equipment uptime and perform quality inspections to ensure top-notch performance.
  • Provide Expertise:
    • Share proficiency in electrical repairs and maintenance with less-experienced team members.
    • Keep your work area clean and organized to contribute to a more efficient and productive workspace.
    • Participate in TPM teams and continuous improvement activities to enhance processes, safety, and material flow.
    • Communicate well with your team and support staff to identify and reduce manufacturing constraints and solve problems.
  • Minimize Environmental Impact:
    • Recognize the environmental impact of your work and strive to minimize negative effects.
    • Engage in HSE training to stay informed.
  • Excel in Electrical Troubleshooting:
    • Analyze and resolve electrical control system issues efficiently to ensure systems return to proper operating conditions.
  • Implement Automation and Control Systems:
    • Use available technology and programming techniques to automate manufacturing processes.
    • Identify necessary materials and resources to optimize automation.
  • Develop Machine Programs:
    • Design and implement machine programs to enhance the usage and overall operation of factory floor machines.

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Familiar with FANUC Robotics and/or FANUC CNC Controls.

Familiar with PLC Troubleshooting software (RSLOGIX or Equivalent).

Able to read and interpret Electrical Schematics and use for troubleshooting.
