Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Product Auditor to join our team at Paumac Tubing. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect materials, products, and processes to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform daily dock audits, product audits, and PASUM audits to ensure compliance with Paumac QMS system.
  • Provide quality at the source training support to second shift employees.
  • Examine products for surface defects, compare products with parts lists or sample models, and verify specified dimensions.
  • Reject defective parts, update logs, and provide feedback to the Paumac team and management.
  • Generate Quality Alerts for internal non-conformances identified.
  • Maintain rejection logs and notify the Sr. Quality Tech and Quality Manager to determine if a non-conformance should be issued.
  • Perform 100% containment inspection as required and ensure following containment instructions.
  • Assist in interpreting engineering drawings and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Provide input to lessons learned to the APQP Team.
  • Select products for tests at specified stages in the production process and test for various qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
  • Ensure Paumac QMS requirements are being followed and provide training support as needed.
  • Perform Quality Audits of the Production Products/Process as required and provide reports of results to the Management Team.
  • Maintain records of audits and follow up with team members on open actions from audits to ensure closure.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and auditing procedures.
