About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our team at CarlsonSV. As a key member of our accounting and tax team, you will be responsible for providing support to managers and principals, assisting with tax planning, preparing compiled financial statements, and researching technical tax issues.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current tax and accounting software applications, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare individual and business tax returns
  • Assist with tax planning and research technical tax issues
  • Understand and effectively use current tax and accounting software applications
  • Ensure all client deliverables are completed in an accurate, professional, and timely manner
  • Prepare compiled financial statements and work as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience with public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with accounting software systems (e.g. QuickBooks, Thomson Reuters products) and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Proactive willingness to learn and attain greater knowledge
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a positive, professional manner
