Key Responsibilities:
As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements and manage audit processes across multiple regions.
  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP financial reporting standards during the closing process.
  • Support business growth initiatives by identifying and addressing statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with various Amazon teams, including FP&A, Tax, and Legal, to enhance financial operations.
  • Apply strong technical accounting knowledge to evaluate new product launches and transactions.
  • Work with global accounting teams to develop and implement best practices for financial reporting.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks in accounting operations to senior management, providing actionable recommendations.


Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline, or CPA certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in controls, audit, compliance, or SOX roles.
  • Experience in continuous improvement projects that enhance financial controllership.
  • Proven track record in managing financial statement audits or preparing external financial statements.


Preferred Skills:
Ideal candidates will also have:

  • Experience in accounting management within a Big Four firm, particularly with Fortune 500 clients.
  • Skills in designing and implementing financial controls or conducting audits.
  • Ability to research and document accounting conclusions effectively.
  • Experience in process improvement through automation and analytical methods.
  • Proficiency with financial tools such as Oracle, Essbase, and TM1.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including macros and pivot tables.
