Manufacturing Engineer for LRSO Program

Torch Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to support the LRSO program as a manufacturing engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in casting, additive manufacturing, and tooling, with a keen eye for best practices on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities- Review vendor processes for completeness and reliability
- Plan, organize, and perform manufacturing, mission assurance, quality, and supply chain activities
- Provide engineering analysis support for a program transitioning from design development to production
- Support operations with emphasis on yield improvements, capacity analysis, and process validations
- Provide technical recommendations to enhance system design, producibility, and performance
- Conduct manufacturing maturity assessments and quality assurance assessments
- Prepare analysis and reports to support Production Readiness Review
- Recommend design and/or test methods and statistical analysis approaches for achieving required levels of product reliability
- Review process control techniques, develop inspection planning, and assess production deployment activities
- Assess Engineering Change Proposals and other system change requests to identify and quantify manufacturing risks and impacts
- Analyze data on long lead impacts, diminishing manufacturing sources material shortages, learning curve, and statistical process control
- Evaluate and analyze methods and procedures for inspection, test, and acceptance of hardware
- Participate in failure review boards, analyze root cause failure, and drive corrective actions forward to completion
- Represent the IPT at program office Risk Boards, Configuration Control Boards, Material Review Boards, and contractor meetings
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering
- Minimum 12 years of engineering work experience, or MSME and 10 years' experience
- Current DOD Secret Clearance (or US Gov equivalent), with TS eligibility
- Ability to travel up to 1 time per month and work onsite
- Desired experience conducting manufacturing maturity assessments, transitioning from design development to manufacturing phases, and implementing manufacturing techniques and tooling measurements
