Job Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer at CIRCOR will be responsible for supporting the business in areas of new product development, process improvement, and daily product support. This role will also involve project managing key programs, technical authority in metal processes, and analyzing and interpreting technical data to create shop routings, operations sheets, tools, and other necessary processes and equipment to produce a high-quality product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan sequences of operations for fabrication and assembly of products based on customer requirements.
  • Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing methods are used that are compatible with available machines.
  • Specify, design, and/or procure special tooling or equipment required to attain product per customer requirement within budgeted cost and time.
  • Program CNC machines to effectively and efficiently produce desired products.
  • Analyze and resolve fabrication and tooling issues to avoid problems.
  • Create new or modify existing manufacturing drawings using CAD methodology.
  • Value engineer existing products and processes to reduce cost, lead time, and cycle times.
  • Comply with all company policies/procedures and military and contractual requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) with 7-10 years' experience, or 13 years of equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience in an aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environment with high mix/low to mid-volume product rates.
  • Strong metal processing background, i.e., Heat Treating, Surface Finishing, Forging, Casting, etc.
  • Strong Project Management Skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project, Solidworks, CATIA, and other applicable tools.
