Job Overview

As a Clinical Diabetes Specialist at Sequel Medical Technology, you will be part of a dynamic team that drives the successful launch of our next-generation insulin pump and future products. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional clinical education and product training to people with diabetes and healthcare providers, ensuring seamless adoption and persistent use.

In partnership with a Territory Business Leader, you will formulate territory strategies and initiatives to meet or exceed established goals. This role offers opportunities for growth and professional development, including mentorship, field sales training, and participation in internal advisory boards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop effective territory plans and strategies in collaboration with the Territory Business Leader.
  • Execute clinical selling strategies within assigned accounts to drive product adoption.
  • Assess referrals for product use in people with diabetes, ensuring criteria are met for optimal utilization.
  • Facilitate product education and training for users of Sequel Medical Technology's products.
  • Drive healthcare provider adoption and confidence in our products by promoting their clinical benefits and conducting impactful demonstrations.
  • Certify healthcare providers to conduct product training for people with diabetes.
  • Facilitate virtual product training and other educational webinars to enhance user experience.
  • Communicate user feedback cross-functionally to address problems and improve product development.
  • Collaborate with customer care and sales support to optimize user engagement.
  • Maintain a high level of proficiency in discussing and demonstrating our products, as well as expertise in diabetes and therapeutic options for diabetes care.
  • Participate in industry conventions, educational forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.
  • Manage leads and opportunities in the customer relations database daily and submit product training documentation as required.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Clinical Diabetes Specialists

  • Assist with field sales and clinical training to ensure seamless knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in advisory boards with cross-functional departments to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor junior staff members to foster growth and development within the team.
  • Lead weekly team calls, regional, and area meetings as needed to maintain open communication channels.

Requirements

  • A valid professional license in one of the following fields: RN, RD, PA, NP, Pharmacist.
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating and conducting diabetes education, with strong technical experience in diabetes technology.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
