The Superintendent 1 is responsible for the planning, management, and execution of all facets of designated projects. This position entails overseeing materials and equipment, assisting in workforce management, ensuring thorough documentation, and achieving project objectives for timely and profitable completion.

  • Decision-Making Authority: Exercises judgment within established limits and consults with supervisors on other significant decisions.
  • Career Advancement: Potential progression to Superintendent 2.

Core Responsibilities in the Superintendent Family:

  • Champions the company's safety culture and promotes awareness by exemplifying commitment to a zero-incident environment. Conducts investigations into safety incidents and facilitates necessary retraining.
  • Oversees subcontractors and coordinates job workflows effectively.
  • Manages company personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and compliance programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEOC.
  • Develops comprehensive work plans for subcontractors and self-performed tasks.
  • Facilitates various meetings, including daily standups and weekly trade discussions.
  • Participates in and manages relevant progress and project Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings.
  • Creates, manages, and implements project timelines in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and assists in project closeout processes.
  • Assesses progress on self-performed tasks and manages material and equipment requirements.
  • Supports procurement and approval workflows, among other duties.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to execute work with precision and thoroughness.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
