Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues on diesel engines, as well as providing preventative maintenance services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues on diesel engines, including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components.
- Provide preventative maintenance services to our customers, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Assist customers with roadside services, including jump-starts, tire changes, and other emergency repairs.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Interact with customers and drivers from all over, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds, and work in close quarters.
- Ability to work in various temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love's).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
