About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transdev in Concord, NC. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing transit vehicle maintenance, inspecting and diagnosing mechanical issues, and ensuring accurate upgrades and modifications on coach systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on transit vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues with transit vehicles and equipment
  • Ensure accurate upgrades and modifications on coach systems, road calls, and on-the-road repairs as needed
  • Read and interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams
  • Coach and monitor team members to ensure they are meeting performance standards
Requirements
  • 21 years or older
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A or B with airbrake endorsements
  • A clean driving record
  • 3+ years of Diesel Maintenance experience
  • Appropriate Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug test
