Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Engineer to join our team at Allan Myers, the largest heavy civil construction and materials production contractor in the mid-Atlantic. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the planning, execution, and controlling of site and heavy civil construction projects.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement work plans and schedules to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Perform laborer tasks as part of a crew, including pipe installation, excavation, site cleanup, painting, and maintenance.
  • Interpret contract plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Document projects through diary entries, photographs, video, inspections, and reports.
  • Assist in negotiation, pricing, and purchasing of parts, materials, and labor.
  • Manage and track fabrication, delivery of required materials, and ensure correct cost code charging and invoicing.
  • Track quantities of worked performed by the company and by subcontractors, and provide input into quantities of work to be billed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of engineering or construction experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
