Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform standard system administration tasks, including managing server certificate lifecycles, monitoring virtual machine (VM) health, updating software on VMs (both manually and via YUM repositories), and ensuring VMs comply with the latest security protocols established by the organization.
  • Oversee and manage production Linux VMs, both standalone and those integrated within a Kubernetes cluster, across various hosting environments.
  • Collaborate with clients and the development team to address product requirements, ranging from minor adjustments (e.g., VM name modifications) to substantial projects (e.g., new cluster deployments).
  • Engage in DevOps activities, such as executing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for VM updates and monitoring Kubernetes clusters through Rancher or kubectl commands to ensure the health and efficiency of cluster nodes and pods.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient Linux skills, including troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience or familiarity with Ansible.
  • Expertise in managing and securing VMs (STE/STN).
  • Active Security+ certification for all infrastructure team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CentOS or RHEL.
  • Knowledge of PKI Certificate/Server Certificate setup.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, RDS).
  • Exposure to OpenStack.
  • Familiarity with VMware.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
  • Experience with Git for version control (push, pull, commit changes).
