About the Role

As our Controller, you will play a pivotal role in transitioning our financial operations from an outsourced model to a fully in-house function. You will be responsible for owning our accounting processes, enhancing financial reporting, restructuring our financial systems, and preparing for future audits. This role requires close collaboration with leadership to improve closing speed and deliver timely, accurate financial presentations/reports to the board. If you are an experienced controller who excels in building and optimizing financial functions in a highly collaborative environment, this opportunity is for you.

This role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with our People Team. The first 30 days will be spent learning and understanding the current business and our existing accounting procedures while working closely with our outsourced accounting firm. After settling into the position, you will work directly with our Chief Operating Officer on implementing new reporting and charts of accounts. From there, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive proposal for changes and implementations to support Mobi's accounting and finances. Once implemented, this position will focus on growing the financial department, bringing on an in-house accounting team with the help of our People Team.
