Role Overview
The Equipment Lifecycle Planner will oversee the planning, coordination, tracking, measurement, and reporting of tasks related to the comprehensive lifecycle of equipment. This includes activities across the selection, installation, operation, and decommissioning phases, encompassing preventative, predictive, corrective maintenance, repairs, calibration, and improvements.

The Planner will also manage spare parts, equipment, and maintenance supplies, collaborating closely with clinical operations, research, supply chain, procurement, and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately assess and report on maintenance backlogs in various forms.
- Create and update essential documentation including procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Demonstrate adaptability in work schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Establish a world-class planning framework to address issues promptly and maximize system uptime for continuous operations.
- Lead root cause analyses, drive resolutions, and ensure follow-through to completion.
- Manage vendor relationships to support qualifications, installations, calibrations, and preventive maintenance as required.
- Oversee spare parts inventory and service contracts, managing operational expenditures (OPEX).
- Prepare reports and metrics to measure success and support operational goals.
- Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to fellow engineers and laboratory staff.
- Collaborate with quality and regulatory teams to implement necessary policies and procedures for equipment lifecycle management.

Qualifications
Required:
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members.
- Strong communication skills for effective internal customer support.
- Excellent time management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of industrial, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Experience in a regulated clinical laboratory environment and familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems.

Preferred:
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Manufacturing Management Systems (MES).
- Experience with project management and calibration processes.

Work Environment
- Occasional travel may be required.
