Computed Tomography Technologist

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures, including CT scans, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly to produce high-quality images.
- Patient Care: Verify patient identity, obtain complete clinical history, and assess for contraindicating conditions before performing procedures.
- Image Quality: Produce high-quality images by adjusting technique and ensuring proper patient positioning.
- Communication: Clearly explain procedures to patients, respond to emergency situations, and maintain effective communication with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Quality Control: Consistently produce acceptable images, ensure equipment is fully operational, and maintain accurate records.
- Operations: Restock linens and supplies, maintain a clean and orderly department, and perform routine duties as needed.
- Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Certifications: ARRT Radiography, ARRT Computed Tomography, and Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology, with preference given to those with experience in CT.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to function independently and under pressure, and proficiency in CT procedures.
