Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including radiographic machines, fluoroscopy units, and CT scanners.
- Position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and safe positioning.
- Administer contrast media and other medications as required for imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient imaging procedures and results.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality imaging services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure excellent patient care and satisfaction.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT Radiography certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Less than 1 year of entry-level experience in a diagnostic imaging setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Experience with CT scanning and other advanced imaging modalities.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and protection principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
