Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including radiographic machines, fluoroscopy units, and CT scanners.
  • Position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and safe positioning.
  • Administer contrast media and other medications as required for imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient imaging procedures and results.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality imaging services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure excellent patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Less than 1 year of entry-level experience in a diagnostic imaging setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CT scanning and other advanced imaging modalities.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and protection principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
