Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. as a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe and effective imaging services to patients, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring accurate dosing and safety protocols are followed.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and computers, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of patient care and imaging quality.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of nuclear medicine procedures, protocols, and safety guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved AMA Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • ARRT Nuclear Technology certification required.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting caring for patients, or 1 year of nuclear medicine experience preferred.
