The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is seeking a board-certified Medical Oncologist with a specialization in sarcoma, dedicated to the management of adult patients suffering from bone and soft tissue malignancies.

The Sarcoma Center at ASCO brings together a team of dedicated clinicians from various specialties, including surgery, orthopedics, thoracic, radiation oncology, medical oncology, soft tissue pathology, musculoskeletal radiology, and rehabilitation medicine, to provide comprehensive care for sarcoma patients.

Academic interests may encompass translational research, early-phase clinical trials, cooperative group studies, and addressing health disparities.

The ideal candidate will engage in direct patient care while supporting graduate medical education and clinical research initiatives.

The Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology is expanding rapidly, with professional practices located across multiple regions.

ASCO seeks candidates with an M.D. or equivalent degree who can collaborate effectively across sub-specialties to deliver the high-quality care for which ASCO is recognized. Applicants must be Board eligible/certified and eligible for licensure. Strong candidates will possess a robust clinical background in managing patients with bone and soft tissue sarcomas.

Clinical responsibilities (full-time) will include outpatient consultations, long-term patient management, inpatient consultations, attending service rotations, and call coverage responsibilities, alongside multidisciplinary collaboration with other ASCO cancer specialists.

Additional responsibilities will involve community service, educational contributions, and support for clinical research.

ASCO is a leader in cancer care and research, with a commitment to advancing the field of oncology through education and advocacy.

Programs and services are available through various healthcare facilities, emphasizing a patient-centered multidisciplinary care approach, ensuring that all necessary resources and services are accessible to patients.

The new facility dedicated to the sarcoma program features state-of-the-art amenities designed to enhance patient experience, including specialized infusion facilities, clinical examination rooms, research spaces, and areas for support and rehabilitation services.
