Railway Design Engineer

At SENER Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled CAD Technician with a strong background in civil engineering and specific expertise in railway design to join our team in Los Angeles.

We are currently looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3-6 years of experience working both with Bentley and AutoDesk platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and Caltrans design standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D or 3D designs and drafts for complex railway projects using Bentley and AutoDesk software. They will also collaborate with civil engineers and architects to ensure all project requirements are met and adhere to the established specifications and standards.

Additionally, the CAD Technician will be responsible for reviewing and modifying CAD drawings, ensuring accuracy and quality in line with civil engineering principles and railway design standards. They will also provide guidance and training to junior CAD Technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Proficiency in Bentley and AutoDesk platforms: Microstation, OpenRail, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, Civil3D
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and Caltrans design standards
  • Excellent diligence and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills
