Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Nucor Warehouse Systems. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for performing structural calculations for cold-formed and hot-rolled steel racking systems. Your expertise will be essential in producing and verifying safe and economical designs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Engineer-of-Record to develop and verify structural designs
* Check and approve project documents, including approval drawings, permit drawings, and steel shop drawings
* Use AutoCAD and Revit to develop project design and scope documents
* Collaborate with design, project management, manufacturing, and sales teams to meet design requirements
Requirements:
* 3-5 years of experience in a design office or steel fabricator
* Certification or Technical degree in a related field
* Engineer-in-Training Required for Civil Engineering or related field
* Highly proficient in Autodesk products, including Revit and AutoCAD
* Experience with structural analysis programs, such as RISA, Dlubal, or SAP
Preferred Qualifications:
* PE License preferred or on track
* AISI Cold-Formed Steel Design experience
