Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and guidance to engineers and conductors to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Oversee the operation of locomotives and trains to ensure adherence to safety plans and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with safety, training, and compliance managers to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Manage employee performance and provide feedback to ensure optimal OTP and performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Locomotive Engineer Certification.
- Completed an approved GCOR Training Program in the last 3 years.
- 2 years of experience as a supervisor for an FRA regulated railroad.
- 7 years' experience as a railroad engineer for an FRA regulated railroad.
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- Work prolonged periods on your feet in the shop environment or outdoors.
- Occasional periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid California Driver's License with a good driving record and no DUIs within the last 3 years.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, including a drug test.
- Able to work 24/7.
Alstom is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $140,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
