Nebraska Medicine is committed to providing opportunities for individuals to pursue a career in healthcare. Our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Sponsorship Program is designed to support students in gaining their CNA certification while working as a CNA at our facility.
Program Benefits- Paid tuition and books
- Course supplies, including a laptop and backpack
- One set of scrubs
- Ongoing guidance, mentorship, and resources from Nebraska Medicine leaders
- Full or part-time employment as a CNA with Nebraska Medicine upon successful certification completion
- Minimum of 16 years of age required
- Possesses a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska
- Demonstrated effective communication skills required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program
The program will provide students with the opportunity to gain their CNA certification while working as a CNA at Nebraska Medicine. Students will be required to attend mandatory labs, clinicals, and state exams. The program will also provide students with ongoing guidance, mentorship, and resources from Nebraska Medicine leaders.
