Job Title: Medical Assistant - Dermatology Specialist

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our Dermatology team. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our dermatology team.

Job Summary:

This is a fast-paced and rewarding role that requires a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our dermatology team to provide top-notch patient care and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to our dermatology team
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, and assist with medical procedures as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a physician's office or related field
  • Medical assistant certification
  • Ability to be bilingual in English and Spanish for working in certain clinics
