Job Title: Medical Assistant - Dermatology Clinic

At Nebraska Medicine, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Dermatology Clinic team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to our physicians and staff. This includes preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, as well as communicating effectively with patients and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to our physicians and staff
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories
  • Assist with medical procedures, such as injections and biopsies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families, including answering questions and addressing concerns
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and processing medical records
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program required
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a physician's office or related field
  • Medical assistant certification
  • Ability to be bilingual in English and Spanish
