About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Consultant to lead our research and evaluation efforts for a Department of State (DOS), Office of the Inspector General (OIG) opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing research studies, collecting and analyzing data, and disseminating findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement research designs and methodologies to meet the needs of the DOS OIG
  • Lead a team of researchers in collecting and analyzing data, including qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Provide oversight and guidance on the development of research products, including reports, briefings, and presentations
  • Liaise with DOS stakeholders to ensure research findings are relevant and actionable
  • Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of research projects

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a social science field, such as sociology, anthropology, or economics
  • At least 8 years of experience in research and evaluation, with a focus on complex social issues
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing research studies, including data collection and analysis
  • Experience working with DOS stakeholders and understanding of U.S. foreign assistance
  • Active SECRET clearance, TOP SECRET preferred
