Responsibilities

We are in search of a Registered Nurse - Nursery to ensure that we continue delivering high-quality, efficient care to all patients.

Key Responsibilities:
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and ensuring safe, professional nursing care for patients within the assigned department.
- Achieve professional goals established during previous evaluations.
- Exhibit professional behavior and conduct consistently.
- Maintain positive relationships and teamwork with colleagues.
- Prioritize tasks and manage duties effectively, even in stressful situations.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills with patients, families, physicians, peers, and the healthcare team.
- Take accountability for direct patient care, applying the nursing process, prioritizing care, and evaluating outcomes for premature and term neonates with critical medical and surgical conditions.
- Participate in the discharge planning process and cost containment.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and efficiently, adhering to policy recommendations.
- Delegate patient care to licensed and non-licensed nursing staff based on patient acuity, needs, staff availability, and qualifications.
- Engage in Performance Improvement activities.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
- BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (employees with RN Compact License must obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
