About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Director to lead our Basketball Footwear Design team. As a key member of our Innovation (NXT) Design team, you will be responsible for driving the creative direction of our basketball products and developing innovative solutions that meet the needs of our consumers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design direction of basketball footwear products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, innovation, and style.
  • Develop and implement seasonal creative direction for the performance division, driving a connected experience across all models and styles within Basketball.
  • Evaluate consumer trends, macro global insights, and marketplace analysis to inform design decisions and drive business growth.
  • Communicate and build on design vision, results, and stories to a variety of audiences, including executive leaders, external partners, and customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project standards and timelines are met, and lead category design resources, processes, and relationships to drive design excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in product creation, design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product creation, design, and development, with a strong background in footwear design.
  • Proven experience in leading design teams, driving innovation, and delivering high-quality products.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to present new ideas and seasonal concepts to small and large groups.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of creativity and attention to detail.
