Job Summary

This position supports the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies. The Specialist provides administrative support to the College's Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), and Research Advisory Council (RAC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain institutional policies and procedures for ORSP compliance.
  • Monitor compliance with training requirements and serve as the College CITI training administrator.
  • Provide administrative support to the IRB and IBC, including protocol management and registration.
  • Serve as a liaison and resource for the Burrell research community on human subject research matters.
  • Support the Director of Student Research in organizing and hosting research events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in a compliance function within a higher education or healthcare environment.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or similar certification.
  • Familiarity with Human Subjects Research Regulations and CITI Training Program administration.
