Job Summary
The Unit Secretary/CNA is an essential member of the patient care team who contributes to the well-being and comfort of patients during their stay by providing direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the registered nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Assist with vital sign collection, medication administration, and other clinical tasks as directed by the registered nurse.
- Participate in patient education and support, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and address patient needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
- Maine CNA Certification required at the time of hire.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained before completion of orientation.
