Position Overview

The Hire Method, LLC is on the lookout for a skilled Windows Platform Engineer to enhance our Multi-Domain Solutions Division. This role presents a unique chance to leverage your technical acumen in supporting extensive weapon systems, IT infrastructures, and Command and Control Systems, contributing to pivotal defense initiatives.

Role Responsibilities: As a Windows Platform Engineer, you will be an integral part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) focused on the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure Processing Node. Your primary objective will be to devise and implement solutions that provide operational superiority to the joint warfighter efficiently and effectively. The ABMS is a critical modernization effort, serving as the foundation for a network-centric battle management approach, collaborating with various services.

Work Environment: This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing flexibility in your work location.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $180,000.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with over 8 years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, or a Master’s degree with at least 6 years of pertinent experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with the potential to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance as necessary.
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience with Azure services, including virtual desktop management, Office 365 implementation, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with patch management and VDI image maintenance using Packer.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Possession of DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) setting, especially related to JADC2 or comparable programs.
  • Understanding of ABMS and its significance within Air Force and JADC2 frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools.
