Job Overview:
The Mechanical Assembly Technician will be responsible for the assembly, alignment, and final configuration of various components. This role involves utilizing prescribed methods and a range of hand tools, fixtures, and testing equipment to perform assembly tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute assembly operations while adhering to established methods.
  • Gather and document test data using databases and office software.
  • Collaborate in addressing production challenges and making informed process decisions.
  • Assist in the selection and setup of specialized equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Perform equipment setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
  • Comply with audit and safety protocols.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:
A minimum of 1 year in manufacturing or mechanical assembly is preferred. Experience in precision mechanical assembly and low-volume, sophisticated manufacturing processes is advantageous. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 6S methodology, and continuous improvement practices is a plus. Previous assembly experience in a controlled environment is also beneficial. Proficiency in Windows-based applications and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) is required.

  • Physical capability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
