Role Responsibilities

A Typical Day Includes:

  • Executing assembly tasks, ensuring proper alignment and final setup of components.
  • Utilizing a range of hand tools, fixtures, and testing equipment to perform assembly operations.
  • Gathering test data and employing databases and office software to accurately document the manufacturing workflow.
  • Engaging in problem-solving to address production challenges and contribute to process decisions.
  • Assisting in the selection and configuration of specialized machinery.
  • Conducting troubleshooting activities to identify and rectify issues effectively.
  • Setting up equipment, performing calibration, and carrying out preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and audit guidelines.
  • Participating in initiatives aimed at continuous process enhancement.
Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year in manufacturing or mechanical assembly is essential.
  • Experience in precision mechanical assembly and sophisticated low-volume manufacturing processes is required.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 6S, and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
  • Prior assembly experience in a controlled environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) is necessary.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven ability to work efficiently within a team of 8-10 members.
  • Capable of analyzing and addressing issues both independently and collaboratively.
  • Able to support projects, conduct training, and function effectively as part of cohesive teams.
  • Self-driven with strong organizational capabilities.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
