Job Summary:
The Public Utilities Commission is seeking a highly skilled Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst to join its team. As a key member of the commission, you will be responsible for conducting complex technical economic, financial, and policy research and analysis to inform regulatory decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on various energy policy issues, including building decarbonization, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and present reports, testimony, and other materials to senior staff and management.
- Represent the commission's interests in workshops, working groups, industry meetings, and legislative hearings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address regulatory challenges and opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to inform regulatory decisions.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, or public policy.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory policy analysis or a related field.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Strong understanding of energy policy and regulatory issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position that requires travel. The commission offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement plan.
