We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated K-12 Educator to join our team at Uncommon Schools. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for implementing our curriculum and ensuring the academic success of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Implementation: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet our high academic standards.
- Assessment and Data Analysis: Analyze student progress and use data to inform instructional practices.
- Student Learning and Support: Create a positive and structured learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with students, families, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational community.
- Professional Growth and Development: Commit to ongoing professional development and participate in training and coaching opportunities to enhance instructional practices.
- Passion for Urban Education: Demonstrate a relentless drive to improve the minds, characters, and lives of students in urban settings.
- Commitment to Excellence: Possess an unwavering commitment to urban youth achieving greatness.
- Alignment with Uncommon's Core Beliefs: Believe in and align with Uncommon's core beliefs and educational philosophy.
- Academic Expertise: Mastery of and enthusiasm for relevant academic subjects.
- Self-Motivation and Teamwork: Demonstrate self-motivation, a willingness to be a team player, and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Experience in Urban Education: Prior experience working in urban schools and/or communities is preferred.
- Proven Track Record: Proven track record of high achievement in the classroom.
- Education and Certification: Valid State Certification and Master's degree are helpful but not required.
- Competitive Compensation: Starting compensation for this role is between $59,000 to $83,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
