We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Standards Leader to join our international team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our Standards Enablement team, you will play a critical role in shaping global information security, privacy, and cloud standards that influence customer expectations, industry practices, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain AWS positions on key information security and privacy standards, ensuring alignment with business and customer interests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to monitor, influence, and develop key information security and privacy international standards.
  • Act as a deep subject matter expert, providing thought leadership on international information security and privacy standards, as well as global legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Help develop concise and actionable thought leadership positions on new, emerging, and existing industry information security standards.
  • Work closely with regulatory-focused standards in information security, such as ISO/IEC, CEN/CENELEC, and other industry verticals.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security and Privacy standards, laws, and regulations.
  • 5+ years of experience in the information security and/or privacy domain, such as security management or analysis.
  • Experience working with regulatory-focused standards in information security or other industry verticals.
  • Experience working in or with national or international standards development organizations (SDO).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Information Security certification(s).
  • Master's degree or advanced technical degree in computer science or related discipline.
  • Experience leading and scaling compliance, assurance, and/or standards programs.
