Faculty Position - Ophthalmology Eye Disease (T/TT)
The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri is seeking candidates for a tenure/tenure track faculty role at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. The rank will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the selected individual.
The primary requirement for this position is a strong dedication to research, demonstrated through significant research accomplishments, including successful external peer-reviewed funding. We particularly welcome applications from individuals who have shown exceptional research capabilities and have a track record of securing external funding.
The focus of the applicant's research should encompass the investigation of molecular pathways related to anterior segment diseases that lead to vision impairment or retinal disorders, along with a commitment to assessing therapeutic strategies for ocular and visual system conditions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD, DVM, and/or MD degree along with postdoctoral experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in conducting translational research aligned with the objectives of this position and the university's research mission.
