Surgical Technologist II

The Rex Surgery Center of Cary is a multispecialty free-standing Ambulatory Surgery Center, offering a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain a sterile field, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Prepare the operating room with the necessary instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist in the care of surgical patients in the ambulatory surgical setting.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- Participate in the sterilization and packaging of surgical instrument trays.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; formal education/training may be substituted for individuals with 5+ years of experience as a surgical tech.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years OR experience required; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) certification preferred.
- Strong communication skills, excellent organizational/priority setting skills, and ability to function effectively as a mentor and team player.
