Job SummaryWe're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients. As a member of our team, you'll work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure a smooth and safe surgical experience.
Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms with appropriate instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
- Establish and maintain a sterile field and ensure the team maintains a sterile environment.
- Assist with the teaching of newly hired technologists and student technologists.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and apply basic knowledge of instrumentations to several cases.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff members, and physicians.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or maintains an accredited Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT or NBSTSA).
- Or, provides evidence of the successful completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the United States Military.
- Ability to adapt to changes within the unit and work effectively and efficiently under pressure in a stressful environment.
This is an entry-level position for new graduates of Surgical Technology programs or Surgical Technologists with 0 to 18 months of experience. As a Surgical Technologist, you'll have the opportunity to advance to Level II within 18 months, with additional responsibilities and challenges.
