Aerolab Inc is in search of a skilled professional to take on the role of Senior Project Manager. This full-time position entails overseeing the planning, scheduling, forecasting, resourcing, and management of project activities to guarantee accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of projects. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with a team dedicated to the design, manufacturing, construction, and installation of substantial aeronautical wind tunnel facilities.

The ideal candidate must possess the capability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and exhibit exceptional project management and supervisory abilities. Strong organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills are essential. Responsibilities include coordinating with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, fabricators, and project owners, whether Aerolab serves as a prime contractor, subcontractor, or independent supplier.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor projects across the organization.
  • Maintain a comprehensive master schedule for all projects.
  • Establish project priorities in alignment with the master schedule.
  • Manage and supervise multiple project engineers involved in daily project operations.
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams regarding scheduling and quality assurance.
  • Define project parameters and oversee the project team.
  • Supervise construction-related activities for Aerolab projects.
  • Conduct quality control on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance, providing regular project status updates.
  • Collaborate with management and project participants to enhance project efficiency and profitability.
  • Engage with general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and key project team members.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about project progress and prepare regular progress reports.
  • Develop frameworks to assess project metrics.
  • Determine necessary equipment, materials, and workforce.
  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of supplies and equipment.
  • Guarantee project compliance with relevant codes, safety regulations, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and uphold quality standards.
Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proficient interpretation of design specifications, drawings, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with engineering and construction terminology.
  • Extensive experience managing schedules and budgets for construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and experience with Procore.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and word processing software.
  • Excellent time management abilities and a strong work ethic.
  • Capacity to multitask and plan effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
  • Outstanding communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
Education and Experience

The candidate should have:

  • 8+ years of experience in project management or a related role.
  • A BS/BA in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Experience with complex construction projects valued over $5M, including bidding, scheduling, and financial management.
Location and Travel

This position is based at Aerolab's main facility, with occasional travel to customer sites as necessary.
