Our client is looking to fill the role of Assistant Project Manager – Project Engineer. This position will be in Jessup, MD.


Responsibilities:


  • Attend project hand off meetings and coordinate complete submittal packages with the production team
  • Develop shop drawings based on Project Manager’s direction
  • Ensure all work is per TAE CAD standards
  • Meet all submission deadlines
  • Perform site visits to survey the roof, and verify dimensions and conditions
  • Maintain submittal logs, manage revisions, and develop and maintain as built redline drawings
  • Request and coordinate tapered insulation shop drawings
  • Prepare project submittal packages based on project manager’s directions, manufacturer’s requirements, and standard roofing practices
  • Assist Project Manager’s with material take offs and ordering of materials
  • Assist the Project Manager’s with developing bid packages for subcontractors
  • Attend onsite meetings as required


Required Qualifications:


  • Complete submittal packages after hands off with little to no supervision
  • Have a working knowledge of tapered insulation systems, TPO/PVC roof systems, and Modified Bitumen roofing systems
  • Have a working knowledge of sheet metal components and their uses
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills in resolving field issues by coordinating with the project team, interpreting available information, and providing accurate sketches for submission
  • Demonstrate ability to provide accurate, timely roofing and sheet metal shop drawings
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of project management principles, and how they relate and interact with
