About the Job

The Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development and deployment of infrastructure in AWS. This includes automating deployment processes, ensuring reliability and scalability of services, and managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Linux, configuration management tools, and AWS services. Additionally, they will have experience with application and OS deployment, scaling, and management, as well as proficiency in multiple programming languages. The Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure and continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development and deployment of infrastructure in AWS
  • Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services
  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues as necessary
  • Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance


Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and configuration management tools
  • Experience with AWS services and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages
  • Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as bash, Python, or Go
  • Familiarity with Git and other development tools such as deployment pipelines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc.
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes are a plus
