Position Overview:

In the role of a Civil Engineer with EIT certification, you will be integral to the development and execution of various engineering initiatives from inception to completion. You will work within a team-oriented environment, closely engaging with senior engineers and project managers to design, plan, and implement a diverse array of civil engineering projects. Your technical knowledge and innovative approach to problem-solving will be vital in delivering successful outcomes across multiple projects, including transportation systems, water management, commercial buildings, and public infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Development: Partner with senior engineers and project managers to design and strategize civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to local regulations, codes, and industry standards.
  • Technical Evaluation: Perform detailed analyses, feasibility assessments, and simulations to determine the effectiveness of proposed engineering solutions.
  • Design Software Utilization: Employ Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and modeling tools to produce comprehensive engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Aid in securing necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Construction Oversight: Provide assistance during the construction phase, including site evaluations, construction management, and addressing any on-site engineering issues.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the precision and quality of engineering outputs, following established quality assurance protocols.
  • Client Engagement: Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and external organizations to address inquiries, provide project updates, and foster positive relationships.
  • Safety and Environmental Stewardship: Integrate safety measures and sustainable practices into project design and execution, emphasizing environmental responsibility and risk management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • EIT Certification: Must hold a valid Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification in Texas or be eligible for immediate certification transfer from another state.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD, Revit, and MicroStation software.
  • Fundamental Knowledge: Strong grasp of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and regulatory frameworks specific to Texas.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to assess complex engineering challenges and devise effective solutions.
  • Communication Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
