About the Role

As a Sterile Processing Technician at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by maintaining the cleanliness and sterility of surgical instruments and equipment. Under the direction of the Manager, Sterile Processing, you will perform a variety of tasks related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling and wrapping surgical instruments, as well as restocking supplies and instrumentation.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
  • Assemble and wrap surgical instruments
  • Restock supplies and instrumentation
  • Perform other duties to facilitate the patient care team
Requirements
  • Within 1 year of hire, obtain National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association certification
  • Within 1 year of hire, obtain National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution certification
  • Preferred qualifications include coursework/training and graduation from a Healthcare Central Service Program from an accredited educational institution, as well as Central Supply Room and/or Sterile Processing Department experience
